Hydro’s annual report for 2007 landed both first prizes when the Norway’s traditional and prestigious “Farmand Prize” was awarded on Thursday evening. Hydro has signed a contract with Vattenfall for the supply of close to 18 terawatt hours (TWh) of electricity in Norway over an eight-year period, starting in 2013. It is one of the largest cross-border contracts since the integration of the Nordic power market in the early nineties.
